3DPHEN Phenolic Pipe Insulation
Supplied in 1m lengths, our Phenolic Foam Pipe Insulation is manufactured and finished to the highest industry standards. The product is CFC/HCFC free, closed cell foam with a thermal conductivity of only 0.025 W/mK (aged value) @ 10 deg C Mean temperature which provides unbeatable thermal insulation performance, superior condensation control and energy saving. Phenolic Foam Pipe Insulation satisfies the relevant requirements of widely employed specifications such as BS5422:2009, and BS5970:2001. The product should be installed as recommended in the Code of Practice BS5970:2001. Surfaces to be insulated should be cleaned thoroughly and be free of any foreign matter such as oil, grease, dirt, and loose scale. Pipes should also be dry and free of frost. All circumferential and longitudinal seams in the factory applied Class O aluminium foil insulation jacket shall be sealed with 50mm wide aluminium foil tape. Bends are to be mitred and cut to fit on site and all joints securely sealed with 50mm wide aluminium foil tape. Ensure that all butt joints of regular pipe insulation to high density phenolic support blocks are sealed with 50mm wide aluminium foil tape. All external pipework should have an additional cladding/jacketing system, however, if jacketing is specified this should be installed in a manner that will not cause damage to the insulation vapour barrier.
