Loft Insulation Materials are a good way to reduce energy loss from your home - although many properties in the UK will have some insulation there are still a lot that do not have the recommended level to keep your property warm and efficient. In terms of a standard glass wool insulation you want at least 300mm to be up to current building regulations. It is often a job you can do yourself and we have a range of options including traditional loft insulation, multifoils and encapsulated loft rolls. The Energy Saving Trust estimate insulating a property with no insulation can save between £230 to £580 a year while a property with some insulation topped up to the correct amount can achieve savings of more like £20 to £40 a year. A well insulated property is also warmer and more comfortable to live in.
